After the very first day I saw this on the shelf of Thou Shalt Game, I have always wanted it. I never knew about Batwoman until I bought Batman: Battle For the Cowl and I saw her brief appearances within the book. Soon after, I did some research about Batwoman and learned a lot more about her. She became another one of my favorite characters. I ended up buying Detective Comics issues #854 and #855 before getting this, but I have no regrets since the two comics had also features with the new Question. I’m starting to support the shipping of those two… but yeah, I finally have this book. The art. The art is simply amazing! There is a distinct difference between the way the pages are drawn when Kate is Batwoman or just herself. Even the flashback to her past is drawn in another style. The story easily reeled me in. I like the relationship she has with her father. The two understand and protect each other while there are those moments they just need to have some private time alone. I sorta wanted to see more of Batman, but I’m fine with the amount of time he was there. Alice at first reminded me of Harley Quinn and Joker, but later realized she was her own villain. Her twisted mind and lovely outfits were the main things I love about her in this story. The ending of the book nearly broke my heart. That’s all I can say. I really don’t want to spoil it, but you just have to buy this or find some other way to read this. Whether or not you like Batman, Batwoman, DC Comics, or even like comics at all, this is something you just have to read before you die!!!
