This pull list is a good start for February.  In Animal Man, artist John Paul Leon draws a bit of Buddy’s past as the Bakers try to find safety from the Rot.  Static Shock #6 is an explosive issue and has some shocking revelations.  It’s sad to know that there are two issues left in the series.  I was really hoping for more out, but there are times when I don’t understand DC’s decisions.

The Avengers Academy is in a tough fight against Hybrid.  There were a lot of action, but it left me very confused in the end.  With the Defenders, the crew are still on the ship.  Things get interesting with Silver Surfer and a strange wardrobe change leaves the rest of the team with some cool costumes.  The Circle of Four event begins in Vemon #13.  I haven’t been able to really follow Venom, but I’m a huge fan of Gen. Thunderbolt (Red Hulk), Laura Kinney (X-23), and Alejandra (Ghost Rider).  On a side note, I heard some sad news while I was grabbing my pull list at the shop.  With also the cancellation of X-23’s series, Ghost Rider will also be ending.  It breaks my heart because I love Alejandra and hope that she doesn’t disappear from the Marvel Universe.  Now back to the reviews.  Parker and Grady are still trying to stop the grim future from happening.  There’s a special guest appearance in this issue with some “hidden” references.  Bucky’s back as the Winter Soldier.  He and Natasha are on covert mission.  It’s really good to see him and hope to see more action in the next issue.
