The last week of the month is one of my favorites since it’s usually catch-up time with my Marvel series. I’ve been meaning to get the Avengers Academy Giant-Size special since Spider-Girl and some of the Young Allies make an appearance. The special was released before Avengers Academy #13. Things are getting heated and going down now since Johnny’s back with them. They’re all still in space and it’s war. There was one panel that warmed my heart that just had Susan and Richard together. In Daredevil #5, Matt trying to figure out why a blind translator was suddenly fired from his job. The issue was awesome, but there was a part with Foggy that confused me. I might have to read #4 again just to make sure there wasn’t a sudden jump. Alejandra is getting more used to her new life as the Ghost Rider. #5 is really all about her and we learn more about her life before and after receiving the demon.
Andrew’s journey takes a strange turn when they arrive in Gotham. A local Gotham icon makes an appearance and reluctantly joins the vampire in his quest to stop Mary’s infestation. Voodoo goes deeper into her mission, but after a confrontation discovers a stunning secret about herself. In Green Lantern: New Guardians, Kyle and the rest of the renegade lanterns enter the worlds within the vortex. There are many developments that happens with each of them that keeps my interest in this series. On the other hand, Teen Titans #5 has been another disappointment. Bunker and Solstice are the only ones I have a heart for in the series. Solstice totally reminds me of the old Starfire, but I do miss her original looks. They mention a special guest in the next issue and that special guest (which I probably know who it is) will be the biggest reason I will get that one. Justice League Dark just seems to get crazier every issue and I love it. The team “assembled” and their first problem has been solved, for now.
