It’s only the second week of the year and another awesome pull list!!!  Tom Morello’s “Orchid” is getting good with introducing more characters.  Issue #4 shows more of his concept of the post-modern world.  With what I have from DC, “The Ray” is so cool, “Batwoman” will always be amazing, and “Batman and Robin” made me cry once again.  Bruce finally opened his eyes and I hope it’s not too late for him to truly become Damian’s father.

In the Marvel Universe, “Scarlet Spider” is the brand-new series featuring Kaine.  If you haven’t read the Spider-Man Grim Hunt story arc or at least the main Spider-Island issues, please do.  It might help you understand what this clone has gone through.  Was hoping for Kaine to suit, but still a good start for his solo series.  The Black Cat’s back in New York and Peter has to help her with the Daredevil.  I love this issue because Emma Rios drew the interior art.  She’s the one that did the Spider-Island Cloak & Dagger issues.  Also, Matt’s so cool in this issue.  In Daken #19, the Runaways are still in.  Don’t want to bring any spoilers, but I was sort of caught off guard by the change in artists mid-issue.  ”New Avengers” is a series I recently picked up, and been meaning to for a long time.  Issue #20 has the New Avengers against the new Dark Avengers.  I just can’t wait for what Doreen, a.k.a. Squirrel Girl, has to do.  I saved the best for last.  Wolverine and the X-Men is such a good series.  I admit, I liked the art in the previous issues, but story is still so good.  If you have a twitter account, feel free to subscribe to Jean Grey School twitter list and also follow its account and some of the staff and students.  They recently had a live tweet class and it went along with what happens in issue #4.  Wolverine and the staff are really working hard to give their students an education and a life away from the battlefield.  Overall, this has been another good batch of comics.  I recommend all of these titles and hope you find a comic book vendor near you so you can pick up a copy for yourself.
